For those of you who are not familiar with the pickleball game, it is a hybrid sport that combines the principles of tennis, badminton and ping pong all in one!
The sport's increasing popularity can, in part, be attributed to it being a simple and inexpensive to play, making it a great sport for all ages and skill levels.
To play, players use a paddle and a plastic perforated ball that they serve over a net. Pickleball can be played in singles or doubles on indoor or outdoor courts.
Standard pickleball courts are 20 ft. wide by 44 ft. long. At center court a net is hung at 34″ and increases to 36″ on the ends. Non-volley zones extend 7 ft. from either side of the net followed by a right and left serving area.
You'll also need to invest in a high-quality pickleball net and make sure it's set at the correct pickleball net height of 36 inches on the sidelines and 34 inches in the center.
